The package structuring model is available in either Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access format. It is easy to set up and to operate. The Microsoft Access model contains a database with history and management reports. All reports can be printed or exported to Microsoft Excel format.

The Microsoft Access model is set up as a run time version with the back-end database saved on the server. The front-end can be either accessed direct from the server, or set up on the user’s computer. The front-end can then be updated when necessary without losing data.

Both the models are tools to aid employees to make informed decisions. Individuals can best structure their packages using the information contained in the input sheet, payment advice (which simulates a payslip), monthly PAYE calculation, annual tax calculation (giving detail on both the annual tax return and annual tax assessment) and annual remuneration agreement. The model also contains detail on travel allowances and company cars.

 

The price of the Microsoft Access model depends on the number of employees and the number of sites.  The model carries an initial capital cost and a licence fee, which is payable annually in advance. The licence fee, which is subject to an annual increase in line with official CPIX (as determined by Department of Statistics), entitles the subscriber to tax changes and system upgrades.
